Clearly I have been studying and thinking about Ancient Greek a bit too much. All day long I have been incorporating the Greek alphabet into everything I have written today. I think it's mainly the combination of studying for the Greek midterm last night, all this morning, then taking my midterm for it and also being fairly exhausted. I'm just glad the test wasn't too atrocious.

Programming and DKA
Okay, so I extremely dislike programming. I understand how it works, why it works and the general idea of how things should be. However, whenever I try to do anything, it fails.
I think it irks me so much because I don't like that it requires perfection. I wish it was more like a human language, where, even if it's a bit jumbled and not quite right, people still understand what you're saying. I think that's why I'm much better at spoken languages and NOT programming languages.
I'm glad I do understand it though. Going into game production, understanding programming will definitely help when talking to programmers without sounding like a retard.
I just hope I can do it well enough to get through my class this semester.

On a completely different note, I am in a fraternity. I find this both hilarious and cool. I never thought I would be in a fraternity, but considering it's an AWESOME cinema fraternity, it's totally awesome. This is the first semester it's been alive in quite a while. Delta Kappa Alpha was an fraternity that existed when George Lucas was at USC, he was in it. I think that's nifty.
I also like that they are trying to get people from both the film side and video game side so we can cooperate to make super awesome cinematic works of art. However, at the moment there are few gamers...but I plan to change that. By running for Recruitment Chair. It's going to be awesome.

Travel
Lately I have been desirous of an excellence adventure somewhere delightfully exotic. I want to hike through a jungle, climb some trees, explore some caves, swim in deep waters and hang out with awesome people from a different culture.
On a different, but related note..I have recently become aware of how much I love nature. I always knew I did, but lately I frequently daydream about being a druid, living in nature, exploring the world and befriending the animals. Sometimes I want to tell people that I'm actually a forest nymph who was born of the forest and that I worship the trees.
It reminds me of when I was really young. I would go out into my mom's garden, gather flowers, plants, leaves and things, bring them to a little fort area I built and make natural potions. I imagined I had all sorts of magical powers and that the animals were my friends and they could understand me.

Past Dreams
I was just looking around at the files on my computer and I came across a record of some dreams that I had last September. They are kind of crazy, but quite interesting. I forgot that both had existed but once I read it, the entire dream came rushing back to me as vividly as it had been when I first woke up.\
Spurred by the conversations and readings in my Approaches to Myth class, I have become re-interested in my past dreams. For dreams are curious things. They arise from our unconsciousness which is so deep and complex. I at times try to analyze them, but some of mine I like purely for the story. I'm also amazed at my imagination sometimes...
This one is from September 5th
I started as a person who was part of a crew. There were quite a few of us. We were thieves. We had a job set up where there was something on a train that we were contracted to get. A group of us (me included) dressed up as upper class women and got on the train. We subdued ourselves (not sure why) but when I woke up the train was on its way. I looked to my friends. There were three of us in the compartment. We went to find the loot, but something happened (don't remember) and we ended up in a town. We were in a building and the whole crew was there. At this point I changed point of views and saw that there were evil men following us and that they were close. I went back into my original person view, sitting at a table with all my friends. At this point (in the dream) I remembered a dream I had where we were all killed here by a demon cat and other things. I tried to tell the captain that I didn't feel right about being here and that we should leave, he disregarded my caution, saying "I don't believe in those superstitious things." Worried I sat back down.
I then changed views again where I was a different girl who was talking to some friend who was not part of the crew but a doctor like person. I was a bubble spirit, which meant that my lifeforce was kept inside a bubble which was in a tank of water in the room (by having this I could exist on dry land). I was talking to her about fixing some problem of mine. However, she disagreed with my path in life and was hesitant to help, finally, she agreed. It was near a pool and there was a rod that was basically what would fix me.
I went back to the table of crewmembers to tell them I needed some time to get fixed. It was then that we started getting attacked. I changed back to the point of view of the original person. I watched my friend's head get slashed (from their viewpoint), and another killed somehow. The demon cat (from my dream) went and set up a trap for the captain of the crew, then it came to me, I knew that it was going to scratch my eyes out, so I put on glasses and put a towel around my face. It came and broke the glasses, but missed my eyes. Before it finally killed me, I switched views to the bubble spirit.
At this time the two evil men had arrived and were trying to cut a business deal with the captain. It was a trap and he ended dying because of the trap the cat set, but the men where the ones that led him to it. The men then broke the tank my bubble was in, I knew this was going to happen, so I changed back into my water form, collected my bubble and went to the pool where my doctor friend was. If my bubble wasn't in water I would die, so I stayed in the water while my friends was setting up the device that would allow me back into human/land form and fix my bubble. However, turns out the girl really disagreed with my path in life, so instead of a rod thing, it was a giant spear. I found a way over it, and was desperately trying to hold on so I wouldn't fall onto the spear and die. It was about here where I woke up.
September 6th
I was in a room, sitting with a few of my friends and a few people I didn’t really like but had to be there. We watched a movie at my grandparents house and then we had to figure out who was going to sleep where. I was with a lover so we wanted to sleep together, but he/she (never figured it out, I was also a he/she). We got kicked off the couch by an older guy, who felt boss like. However, we just moved to the floor, he showed me a strange sexual game and then all the sudden, he was eating a sandwich. I then wanted one too, and turned out the store was around the corner. I go in and couldn’t decide what one to get; they were all over priced and pretty bland. The worker stared and me and told me to hurry up. I thought that was horribly rude so I left.
Later I was walking through some metropolis. It was futuristic, had a giant partially glass dome (partially open) over head that was solar. I walked around with some people, and was irritated that we were in the shade, so I flew up over the dome. A policeman followed me up, and I was surprised to know that other people had powers. We talked and bonded on our flight up, then landed on the roof, which he didn’t do gracefully at all. That made me think he didn’t use his powers much, which was true, this was the highest he ever went.
We looked around on the roof, there was fake money attached to a staircase handle which was written on, but before I could finish reading it, a diseased human burst out of the door and came toward us with an evil look in his eye. I knew that our best choice was to fly off the building, but the police guy had never taken off in a stressed moment, we ran off the building, I went up, he went down. I followed after him, caught him and landed on a window sill. Inside the window was flowing lava. We flew to a broken window on a different floor and went inside. He relaxed in one room while I went to explore the rest.
I had a weird flashback where I saw an old woman in the room, she was sick, and all her friends didn’t want to be around her, so in a moment of revenge, (he disease was spread by bodily fluids) she bottled her spit in little vials, then released them on her friends so they would suffer the disease as well. I flashed back and noticed a person standing near me. She was a young woman with long red hair. I try and talk to her but she is terrified. I follow her and by some words of mine, she accepts that I won’t hurt her. We converse, and I find that she has been stuck up here and now there are strange sounds in one of the rooms and so she came to hide. I say I’ll go investigate, she wants to come, so I put an invisibility spell on her and we go.
We get into a room where there is a girl punching through and breaking up a wall. I call out to her and tell her that I have powers too. We talk about it, she tells me she has great strength and I tell her I am a flyer. Then a second person comes, he is crouched on the ground and never does tell me his power, because he bumped into the girl. He grabbed her and said “Well, well, well, what do we have here? An invisible?” I wave my hand and she is revealed. The guy jumps back and looks at me suspiciously, “You have the power to reveal??” Before I can answer, he realizes that the girl accompanying me is the one they are looking for. To kill. I quickly realize what they plan to do, run for her, grab her and jump out the window. We fly to the ground.
I wake up.

Hmm
So, I think it's a bit silly that I only post here every year or so. I do wish to get better at posting, but I know that no one is following me at the moment, so it doesn't actually matter.
I find this quite hilarious:
Then I am going to say, Fallout 3 is awesome. I have played it quite a bit and it really does just keep getting better. I can't wait until I've hit level 20 and become super awesome. I'm focusing in Sneak, Lockpick and Small Guns. It's because I'm awesome.
Little Big Planet:
Amazing. I haven't played it quite enough to give a real talk about it, but every time I play it I end up laughing and in a much better mood. And that's what I really like about it.
Soul Calibur 4:
A lot of fun, but I'm sorely disappointed they didn't keep the pre-battle sayings. It makes me really sad when I try to insult my opponent during loading, but the characters no longer say anything. Lame. Lame. Lame. I like the soul crush though. That's kinda cool. I'm disappointed with the AI though. I find it too predictable and it uses cheap shots. Oh well.
Star Wars Force Unleashed:
It was fun for a while, but the glitches and the strange difficulty variables, I became annoyed and only played all the way through because that's what I do. I liked the moves the character could do, but I didn't know exactly how to make them all work because there was negative tutorial. You could go hunt it down an practice, but I hate practice. If I wanted to practice I would play my harp.
Well, that's just a small review of some of the games I've played. And now I must sleep, for I have class in the morning. Wheeee....
